1. Who we are

2. The laws we follow

PIPEDA: Canada's federal privacy law for businesses.
Alberta PIPA: the Personal Information Protection Act of Alberta.
CASL: Canada's anti-spam law, for the emails we send.
United States: we follow US email law (CAN-SPAM) and honour any US state privacy request.

3. What we collect

Free website check form: your business website address and your email address.
If you become a client: your name, business name, phone, email, billing details, and the logins we need to set up your website, Google Ads and Google Maps listing.
Website visits: basic technical data, such as pages viewed and browser type. Tools used: none.

We do not ask for more than we need.

4. Why we collect it

To do your free website check and email it to you.
To reply to you and provide the services you sign up for.
To send invoices and keep business records.

We use your information only for these purposes, unless you agree to something else or the law requires it.

5. Your consent and our emails (CASL)

When you fill in the free check form, you agree that we use your email to send your check and up to 2 follow-ups about it.
We do not send news or offers. We only email you about your request or your plan.
Every email we send shows who we are and our mailing address.
Every email has a way to unsubscribe. We act on it within 10 business days.
You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing nikhil@omniaiagency.com.

6. Who we share it with

We do not sell your information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business, and only what they need:

Resend (sending email) and Namecheap (email forwarding), DigitalOcean (our server is in New York, United States), PayPal, no other tools.
Google, when we set up or manage your Google Ads account or Maps listing for you.

Some providers may store information outside Canada, for example in the United States. When that happens, it is subject to the laws of that country. DigitalOcean (New York), Resend and PayPal store data in the United States.

7. How we keep it safe

We use passwords, limited access and secure connections to protect your information. Only people who need it can see it.

8. How long we keep it

We keep free check requests for 2 years. We keep client records for 7 years, or as long as the law requires for tax records. After that, we delete it safely.

9. Your rights

Ask what personal information we have about you.
Ask us to correct it.
Withdraw your consent, subject to legal or contract limits.

If you are not happy with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.
